Your name on your completion record, and your public profile

Version: 2026.1-public-name · Effective: 26 October 2026

Both choices below are optional and are off unless you turn them on.

Showing your name

After your result is released you can create a public completion record. It lets anyone with its link confirm that someone completed GFAB 2026. On its own it is anonymous: it shows a reference code, the edition, the completion date and its status.

Your private report always shows your name; only you can see it. If you allow your name to be shown (in Account → Privacy, or with one tick when you create the record), your display name also appears on your completion record. Allowing this does not publish anything by itself; you still decide whether to create the record.

When you share your record's link, previews on sites such as LinkedIn can show your name. They never show your score.

A completion record confirms participation only. It does not verify your identity or qualifications, and it does not show your score.

Your directory profile

You can also publish a profile in the GFAB directory, after you have a completion record. It shows what you enter:

  • display name, headline and organisation;
  • country;
  • an optional photo, cropped in your browser before upload;
  • an optional contact email.

The directory can be searched by name, headline, organisation and country. Directory and completion pages ask search engines not to index them, but anyone can view what you publish.

Changing your mind

  • Turning off your name takes effect straight away. Your name is left off future copies, and your completion record stays valid without it.
  • You can edit or remove your directory profile at any time.
  • Neither change affects your score or your private report.

If you delete your account, your public profile and named record are removed.
