GFAB 2026 for financial advisers and advisors worldwide

The GFAB team ·

GFAB, the Global Financial Adviser Benchmark, is open to advisers in any country. Whether you are a financial adviser in London, Dubai or Mumbai, a financial advisor in New York or Toronto, or a planner in Singapore or Sydney, the founding edition, GFAB 2026, is for you.

It is free, it takes about two hours, and you receive a private report on how you exercise professional judgment.

The rules change at the border. Client life does not.

Every market has its own regulation, tax and products, and advisers rightly spend years learning them. But the moments that test an adviser look much the same everywhere: a family that cannot do everything at once, a client frightened by the market, a decision that cannot be undone, a conversation nobody wants to have.

GFAB looks at those moments. It does not test regulation, tax or product knowledge, in any country, so where you practise gives you neither an advantage nor a disadvantage. What matters is how you would handle the situation with a real client.

Who can take part

GFAB is for practising financial advisers and planners aged 18 or over, wherever they work, including:

  • Independent financial advisers, advisors and planners
  • Relationship managers and private bankers
  • Wealth planners and wealth managers
  • Portfolio managers who work directly with clients
  • Insurance advisers who plan with their clients

You do not need a particular licence or qualification to take part. GFAB 2026 is in English.

How it works

  • Register. Sign up at gfab.prosperitylab.ai with your email address and choose the country where you practise. It takes a few minutes, and you can start straight away or come back later.
  • Answer the situations. There are 81 in all. Allow about two hours. Once you start, you have 48 hours to finish, your answers are saved as you go, and you can stop and come back. While you are part-way through, GFAB sends a short reminder at 9 in the morning and 6 in the evening in your own time zone.
  • Read your private report. It is prepared automatically after you submit.

What you get

Your report shows your two clearest strengths and what they mean for your clients, one area worth your attention next with three things to try in real client work, a profile across eight areas of judgment, and a separate view of how well your confidence matched your choices. See the sample report for a fictional adviser.

Your privacy

  • Your report is private. There are no public scores and no rankings.
  • If you choose, you can share a completion record with your name on it, or be listed in the adviser directory. Neither ever shows a score.
  • If an institution invited you, it never sees your answers, your score or your report.
  • How GFAB handles your information is set out in the privacy notice.

Independent

GFAB is run by ProsperityLab, based in the DIFC in Dubai. It is independent and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any regulator, professional body or examination board. Taking part does not award a qualification or a licence.

The founding edition

Your responses are compared with reference answers approved by GFAB for this edition. Comparisons with other advisers, in your country or anywhere else, will appear only when there is enough evidence to support them.

Registration for GFAB 2026 closes on 16 November 2026. GFAB is annual, so the next opportunity after that is the 2027 edition.
