GFAB 2026 for financial advisers in the UAE and the Gulf

The GFAB team ·

GFAB, the Global Financial Adviser Benchmark, is built in Dubai, and its founding edition, GFAB 2026, is open to advisers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.

It is free, it takes about two hours, and you receive a private report on how you exercise professional judgment.

Who can take part

GFAB is for practising financial advisers and planners aged 18 or over, including:

  • Relationship managers and private bankers
  • Independent financial advisers and planners
  • Wealth planners and wealth managers
  • Insurance advisers who plan with their clients
  • Advisers who serve families and family businesses

You do not need a particular licence or qualification to take part.

Judgment that travels

Many advisers in the Gulf serve clients whose lives cross borders: families with commitments in more than one country, careers that may move on, and plans that have to hold up wherever the client ends up. Rules and products differ from one jurisdiction to the next. Judgment goes with you.

GFAB does not test regulation, tax or product knowledge, in the Gulf or anywhere else. The situations are about what every adviser meets: families, competing priorities, uncertainty, risk and difficult conversations. What matters is how you would handle them with a real client.

How it works

  • Register. Sign up at gfab.prosperitylab.ai with your email address. It takes a few minutes, and you can start straight away or come back later.
  • Answer the situations. There are 81 in all. Allow about two hours. Once you start, you have 48 hours to finish, so you can fit it around client meetings. Your answers are saved as you go, and you can stop and come back. While you are part-way through, GFAB sends a short reminder at 9 in the morning and 6 in the evening, your local time.
  • Read your private report. It is prepared automatically after you submit.

What you get

Your report shows your two clearest strengths and what they mean for your clients, one area worth your attention next with three things to try in real client work, a profile across eight areas of judgment, and a separate view of how well your confidence matched your choices. See the sample report for a fictional adviser.

Your privacy

  • Your report is private. There are no public scores and no rankings.
  • If you choose, you can share a completion record with your name on it, or be listed in the adviser directory. Neither ever shows a score.
  • If your bank or firm invited you, it never sees your answers, your score or your report.
  • How GFAB handles your information is set out in the privacy notice.

Independent

GFAB is run by ProsperityLab, based in the DIFC in Dubai. It is independent and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any regulator in the region. Taking part does not award a qualification or a licence.

Dates

Registration for GFAB 2026 closes on 16 November 2026. GFAB is annual, so the next opportunity after that is the 2027 edition.
